Well, Permian had a good showing towards the end of the season. So I hope that's a good sign they can have a decent showing in the playoffs. Not sure how good Franklin is but I believe they finished 1st in their district? So maybe that answers my own question, lol.

Capable and potential is there for a run to Regionals. It's one game at a time but you've got to be on your game each game, very little room for mistakes. It's one and done and you have to play each game as if it's last or championship.

No one looks like unbeatable without Dville which means it’s a crapshoot who wins.

Also reiterating the need for the shot clock to be implemented. Watched a top 20 teams only score 24 points last night. Stall ball is a menace.

I’ve been thinking… I think the UIL should switch to 8 regions from 4. Texas is like the only state I know of that has only 4 regions. It wouldn’t change much except The regional final would now be the Quarterfinal and round 4 would be the regional final. The 8 regional champions would go to a predetermined site for a seeded tournament. It would make things so much more fun to have a 3 day state tourney where everyone could gather instead of a 2 day, and it would hopefully limit some of the early powerhouse matchups in the first couple of rounds. Have 3 sites one for the top two levels and so on, rotate each year or two.

I feel like it would make basketball and baseball and volleyball etc. much more interesting. The regions would be a lot more centric and not spanning from El Paso to Dallas or Austin to Harlingen.

Damn, talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Bench clearing brawl and then you have to finish the game with 5 players. Although, can I say how impressive it is to still win the game with only 5 players? 3 of which were starters? Doubt they do it this week, but still impressive, situation notwithstanding.

Everyone will probably say LH wins next week, but watch out for Brennan. Watched them friday and was extremely impressed, they smoked San Marcos on Saturday as well. Plus they're basically at home.
