  • Prayers for Uvalde

For those of you that have a true Spiritual relationship, pray for the city and families of Uvalde as well as for this country and it's leaders as we have another massive school shooting with deaths, this time, 10 year olds. Enough is Enough! Something needs to be done now. 🙏

Prayers for the families of those involved, terrible thing to happen. As for your second point, well, i don't think I'll get into that right now. Everyone is always looking to use a tragedy for their gain.

Nothing will change without political action. To pretend otherwise is at best ignorant and at worst negligent. People who refuse to accept things have to change should be the ones suffering these attacks, but unfortunately life isn’t fair that way.

This is the exact time to get into it.

It's over and over and over...and it will continue until someone actually stands up and makes the changes that are needed.

The fact that our leaders are even suggesting having armed teachers in schools over gun reform is just absolutely ridiculous. I don't have the answers, but do know things need to be changed...and soon.

I'm so sick of all the thoughts and prayers, followed by inaction across the board.

Nothing will change with political action. This isn't a political issue, it's a culture issue.

Highly doubt its a culture issue.

what do we know about the shooter.

                1. Not a criminal at least not before the shooting

                2. very young almost a kid.

                3. most likely was miserable with his life.

Me being somewhat young myself it’s common to be quite miserable during this stage in life. I sort of enjoy the struggle but as we can see some of the younger demographic can’t cope and instead resort to taking out their frustration on others. I think it goes without saying young adults lack the mental maturity to own a firearm. That said I don’t know the solution. But this isn’t part of the culture (well I guess it is if you consider how ingrained the gun culture in America is.) However no country on the planet is stranger to the young adults who have a lot of mental problems only difference is in America these nutcases have easy access to guns.

If the government really wanted to do something, and they don't, they would fund security at public schools. It would cost less than 4% of the national education budget (Fed, state and local), or less than 1/2 of the money we are pissing away on foreign aid every year, or less than 2% of the $$$ wasted by the federal government yearly on inefficiencies. Community outreach and education are next. The notion that you must respond to every provocation with a gun is at the core of this issue. However, none of this will happen, because the politicians would rather the general populace live in fear, for obvious reasons.

The notion that you must respond to every provocation with a gun is absolutely a culture issue. It might be foreign to you, which is good, but it is a widely held belief in this culture.

I think this in addition to a couple other measures could be put in place. It doesn’t matter how much security a school has. A perpetrator threatening to shoot up a school is still an extremely dodgy situation. I would like to have none of it. I agree that we should not outlaw guns of any kind but we could control them better. Nothing is full proof though unless if you were to stifle the gun manufacturers ironically its guns manufactured in the US that are driving up the cartel violence in Mexico as well.

I can quite easily purchased a full auto weapon, if I wanted. Obviously, this is coming from the channels that are not controlled and will always exist.

Don't be naive. The black market exists. You just need $$$. No background checks. Not a difficult thing to accomplish. The TOR network is your friend.

I doubt it unless if you know someone whose somehow smuggling them or knows how to make them. But much like the mothers who legitimately use abortion in a life or death situation, those are few and far in between, 0.000001% my friend. If it was that easy to find a full auto wouldn’t we have more cases of shooters using them? I’ll see if there’s any local gang members in town that can help me answer this question. 😂
