Fired Up BBQ Crandall (good google reviews)

Roping Steer BBQ Eustace (good google reviews)

    Hickory Hill BBQ Tyler http://www.hickoryhilltyler.com/

Others are not on google maps, one in Murchison and one just east of Athens

Roping Steer BBQ I've had a time or two. I need to revisit that but I don't feel I was all that impressed.

Fired Up BBQ in Crandall used to be County Line BBQ and stopped in there once. I don't remember being too impressed there either but it was just one stop.

I'll report back with my review when I hit them two spots again.

But next time your through this way B4 BBQ in the Mabank Feed Store I can say is great. I only was there once with slim pickens and was impressed.
off the beaten path near Kilgore is the Country Tavern...another great East Texas gem!

I'm think the culinary team and the linemen should be working together towards a common goal but what do I know.
Deep playoff runs are, in part, wars of attrition.

...and if the BBQ ain't enough, the desserts are 2nd to none!!!! I made the mistake of stopping there for an early lunch on my way to Baton Rouge. I could barely stay awake...

That plate looks built for the Irving Nimitz kicker.

You can skip it.... Here now and I'm not all that fired up. The pork ribs do make great jerky though.

The brisket was moist but too much fat. It was cut with the grain. Not much of a smoke flavor despite a decent smoke ring.

I'm the only one in here which should say a lot.
