      Now you're just being silly.
      Þetta reddast!

Prejudice is a great time-saver. You can form opinions without having to get the facts.

        Explain

The dude held on the side of an airplane as it was ascending. He jumped out the window of the world's tallest building and ran down the side of it. He rode a bike off a cliff in Norway 6 times in 1 day so they can get the best shot of it for the movie.

        Oh... Tom says hi 👋

            • Would really like to see "Linoleum" because it features two people that I really enjoy: Jim Gaffigan and Rhea Seehorn. But, they aren't making it easy. Looks like it's only showing two places around here and both close after tomorrow. Maybe it will be streamed somewhere soon. Looks interesting.....

It looks like Grapevine Mills Mall is showing it at 5:15 the next few days

Yeah, I saw that. Now that I'm no longer in the Mid-Cities that is quite a haul for me. But, I may pack a lunch and make the trip. Sci-Fi Comedy sounds pretty intriguing.

I have decided to pack up a fried bologna sandwich and some Cheetos, load up the woody wagon and journey east to Grapevine Mills to see this movie today. 5:15 is pretty near my bedtime but I should be able to down enough Root Beer to stay awake until it is over. I will post my in-depth review tomorrow.

                    • First off, just let me say that "Linoleum" is a weird movie. Here's the lowdown:

"WHEN THE HOST OF A FAILING CHILDREN'S SCIENCE SHOW TRIES TO FULFILL HIS CHILDHOOD DREAM OF BECOMING AN ASTRONAUT BY BUILDING A ROCKET SHIP IN HIS GARAGE, A SERIES OF BIZARRE EVENTS OCCUR THAT CAUSE HIM TO QUESTION HIS OWN REALITY."

                      It's a drama. It's a comedy. It's science fiction. It's dramadyscifi.

It stars Jim Gaffigan (stand up comedian), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul) and Katelyn Nacon (Walking Dead) and they are good in this. Colin West, the writer/director, does weird films and this is yet another.

I enjoyed it although I'm not sure why. I am darned sure that on one else in my circle of friends would enjoy it. It was more quirky than anything. Gaffigan is pretty awesome and plays two versions of himself. Not bad for a comic. I go see his act every time he passes through this way and never would have envisioned him in a dramadyscifi. Interesting storyline, very 1960's vibe to it. Plot is full of holes but I think it is one of those movies you have to just not try to think of it critically; just enjoy it. To steal a line from an actual movie critic, "It's the kind of movie where what happens is less important that what it means." You have to hang in there until the final ten minutes because then you will say "Aha! That's what they meant by all of that."

I'd say if you enjoy quirky, interesting but kind of whacky movies, go see this one.

I give "Linoleum" 3.0 Mobius Strips up.

                          Release date
I've seen two dates online. November 23, 2022 is the date listed on Wikipedia and on the IMDb page

March 3, 2023 I've seen on the google results page

I don't know how true this is but I also read a theatrical release with Netflix. (This makes no sense to me if it is the case)

Directed by Michael B. Jordan (directorial debut)

Screenplay by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin

                          Cast
                          Michael B. Jordan
                          Tessa Thompson
                          Phylicia Rashad
                          Wood Harris
                          Florian Munteanu
                          Jonathan Majors

Note This will be the first Rocky movie to not have Sylvester Stallone as Rocky in it. Stallone is a producer however.

The first 2 Creed movies were praised with good reviews with the first one still holding strong at 95% on Rotten Tomatos. The 2nd one with an 83%.
                          My Review

I thought the movie was good but a far cry from great. It was about as predictable a movie you can ever see. Every little step throughout the plot I predicted. The production was great and that's why I think a lot of people like it along with the performances. The story itself?...ehh meh. It's definitely not the best Creed movie. The kid actor they got to play his daughter is the most adorable thing. I smiled every time she was on the screen. I wanted to like this movie more than I did. Same with Cocaine Bear. Lol.

Grade B- and about two sucker punches up.

                          • Just watched Christopher Landon's new movie on Netflix, We Have a Ghost.

Not his best work. The last 30 minutes saved it for me.

                            • One of the biggest mysteries in the last decade. What happened to this damn plane? Obviously we won't get any answers after this doc airs but I'm so interested to hear the theories and stories.

I will watch this. I've long been intrigued by the disappearance.
