[Supreme Commander]

I saw "The Last Duel" yesterday. Lots of big stars: Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Ben Affleck, directed by Ridley Scott. I generally like violent movies about knights and stuff, particularly when they charge each other with giant sticks, but this one was not great. Maybe it was the way the story is told, which involved seeing the same story from three different perspectives. It also involved having to watch a very violent rape scene three times, which was three times too many for me. The saving grace of this movie: Adam Driver was good. He's always good. And you got to see Matt Damon in a mullet for two hours.

I give "The Last Duel" 3 bad mullets up.

Dune. Loved it. Only problem is they stopped in the middle and we now have to wait 2 years for them to (hopefully) finish. If you haven't read the book(s) it may be a challenge, they obviously can't flesh out the depth in a movie.

It should be done like Game of Thrones or Band of Brothers.

I had exactly the opposite reaction. Thought the movie was stunning visually, but the soundtrack made me crazy.

Completely understandable, I think a few of the tracks that Zimmer wrote were intended to sound “other worldly”, and a couple of them made me turn my head a bit. Not sure if that came straight from Zimmer or if he was pushed in that direction by a producer.

He did achieve the "other worldly" sounds, that's for sure. He's brilliant.

Everyone has such interesting tastes. I personally am waiting for Spider-Man. Already every day I monitor on 123movies to find out something. The trailer caught my eye, of course. I think we will not get bored watching it. If the past parts are cool. I can imagine what's going to happen in this one.
