Is that the attraction of Coach Sark? What he can do offensively and with QB's?

Guess is as good as mine. I think there's an interview out there with him talking about it but not sure.

That's really unusual especially given that he's out of state. The out-of-state tuition is way way higher than in-state. Depending on what you're studying you're looking at $11-12k vs $40k per year.
Deep playoff runs are, in part, wars of attrition.

            • I think Sark is really getting off to a great start at Texas.
              1) great staff assembled
              2) really solid 1st signing class.
Now let's wait and see what happens.

I think you've gotta judge him by the 2022 class when it comes to recruiting. He and the staff haven't had much time to do anything for the '21 class. If Texas can have a great 2021 season and they can get out on the recruiting trail, the 2022 class should be really good. They've been heavily targeting the top linemen in the 2022 class.

This 2021 class is his transition class and most of them are Herman recruits. The next two classes 22 and 23 will be most telling. I do love what Sark said a few days ago. He said it's all about developing these players including the kids that are currently on the roster, not just the recruits.

                    • We've been here before. That's 4 of last 5 losses. Are we seeing this again with Shaka and Horns, a peek early and downward spiral?

Not sure. This year seems alil different as imo this is his best team chemistry wise since he's been here. And the most talented team from top to bottom since he's been here. They've lost 3 straight since Covid hit them. With Covid i think we should not group this stretch with his previous seasons. There's still alot of basketball left to get this back on track.

                          • Anyone really surprised.? Shaka can take a great team and make them average. Everyone getting excited earlier in the yr acting like shaka should get a another big contract. lol this is the same coach that is 101-83 and below 500 in league play. Shaka is the Herman of basketball, and he should be gone next yr, before that new arena starts in use.

The Shaka hire has definitely been underwhelming I agree.
