    By watching his games.

I would not trade Luka for Jokić. There. Happy? I wasn’t dodging the question, I just thought the question was pointless. It wouldn’t change the Mavs. I’m primarily a fan of the team not the player. Fact is I wouldn’t trade Luka for any NBA player period. But I do think they are both extremely talented.

Luka is younger, was much farther along as a rookie than Jokić and has had a more accomplished career minus the two MVPs. I also believe Luka has the potential to accomplish more when it’s all said and done if the Mavs can ever get their act together and actually build properly around him. I’m sure you disagree for whatever reason.

Since you are the one who asked, please explain your reasoning for your answer. I explained mine.

I watched the games too and didn't see Luka being more clutch than Jokic. More accomplished career? You just threw away the MVPs like it was nothing when in fact that is huge. Now throw in an NBA Finals appearance. Jokic just broke Wilt's record for most triple doubles in a single playoff season.

Yes. Jokić is a late bloomer. He is great. I feel like me trying to argue for Luka over Jokić is wrong because I don’t want to sound like I am disrespecting or dismissing Jokić. I will just say this. If Jokić had been on the Mavs and Luka on the Nuggets since Luka’s rookie season, Luka may be the one with two MVPs and Jokić most assuredly would not have any. If Luka’s teammates could step up and make shots, that would be great. Maybe he could actually average 10 assists a game. Also Denver simply has a better offensive system. Luka’s usage rate is way higher than Jokić. The difference is, Jokić is not a ball handler, doesn’t bring the ball up the court, sometimes doesn’t touch the ball on a possession. Denver doesn’t have to have Jokić to touch the ball to score. It’s rare that Luka doesn’t touch the ball on a possession. Dude is tired as hell and worn down at the end of the season. If you are brave enough to attempt to disprove my argument that the coaching staff and roster is the major difference between the two in terms of their success and results I will be glad to engage you. But you can’t. That’s why I told you it’s a pointless conversation. Trading Luka for Jokić will not make the Mavs a championship contender. Not unless they drastically change the roster and the coaching staff.

I do think we could maybe call it a wash on the accomplishments. There is a legitimate argument for both.

Luka has the Only 60/20/10 game in NBA history
Luka #2 all-time PLAYOFF PPG - only Jordan is higher 33.4 vs. 32.5, but Jordan averaged 41.8 minutes, Luka averaged 37.4. Jokić is #9 at 27.3 at 37.3 minutes per game.
Luka 42 points in first NBA playoff game. An NBA record for points in a playoff debut. Jokić had 10 points in his playoff debut.
Luka Three triple doubles in first seven games in his playoff career. Only player in NBA history with that accomplishment. Jokić has a lot more in his playoff career.
Luka Doncic has been one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA this season, and his ability to hit clutch shots has been unparalleled. His game-winner percentage currently stands at an impressive 45.9%, which is higher than any other player in the league.
Luka has 18 game winning shots in his five year career. Jokić has seven in his nine year career.

Luka also is the biggest whiner in NBA history. You conveniently left that out.

True, he is a whiner. True I conveniently left that out. That doesn’t help my argument.

I don’t get why you would post this hypothetical question, get mad when someone doesn’t answer it the way you like and then won’t even make an argument to support your answer. I have backed up my points every time you challenged me on them, and you refuse to explain yourself.

BTW, you shouldn’t be mad at Luka. You should be mad at Cuban. It’s ultimately all his fault this organization finds itself in the position it is in. Also, you know the Nuggets would never trade Jokić and the Mavs would never trade Luka. Not even for each other.

How many points are you taking away from Luka as his team plays shorthanded on the other end as he's whining about a no call?

I already agreed he is a whiner. I hate that. I’m going to stop talking about this now, since it’s never going to happen and you won’t have the conversation anyway.

I'm the least homer person you know. But I'm a realist. Luka ain't going anywhere. At least not until two years from now when he requests a trade because of Cuban's incompetence. Then we can talk about what trade package we want for him. Jokic should have a title by then. But Denver won't trade Jokic. Not even for Luka.
