At one point early in the 3Q, after an offensive play, Luka was grimacing in pain. As he was hobbling back to the defensive end of the court, he started motioning toward the bench to come out. Kidd did nothing. The ESPN lady commentators even mentioned that Kidd was ignoring Luka's pleas to come out.

During the next time out Casey Smith retaped Luka's thigh. He continued to play into the 4Q. He went out early in the 4Q and never returned. He is now scheduled for an MRI. Speculation is he will miss some games, maybe as much as a week.

When asked why Luka played this game (back to back) in post game, Kidd said it was because they need him for the final stretch. Luka hasn't played back to back games since November.

Mavs are in doo doo trouble and are looking at a one and done. Not playing good basketball at the moment and currently dropping in standings.

What a game winning 3 by Maxi and all created by Kyrie. Mavs beat Lakers 111-110 literally at the buzzer.

Interesting Stat Fact:
Before last night's buzzer beating win over Lakers, Mavs were 0-12 when having/given a chance to win or tie in their final possession in games final 15 seconds. Now 1-12.
