      Greenville (1-4)
      Sulphur Springs (1-4)
      Mt. Pleasant (0-5)

Hallsville I think has moved up to #2 in the state. Texarkana is in the top 10 as well I believe. Or at least they were till they lost to Hallsville I think.
TX High didn't lose to Hallsville. They got swept by the Lady Lobos.

Only teams Longview hasn't faced yet is Mount Pleasant and Greenville. Wins (all sweeps) over Marshall, Sulphur Springs and Texas High. Losses in 5 games to both Hallsville and Pine Tree.

He wasn't on staff @ LT when Longview played them, I believe. He came afterwards from Garland, I think.

I mean, this is clearly not the year for East Texas 5A. Way too many inconsistencies from the power three (just to group us together) to really say anything IMO. Most years, John Tyler, Lufkin and Longview would absolutely dominated this class/region...especially since every other power team that we thought would dominate has just as many inconsistencies as we all do. This class is ridiculously wide open.

5A is wide open. Even the top DFW teams are getting beat and upset week after week just like the east Texas teams. Everyone still has a chance at this point and the team that gets hot at the end of the season will have the best chance of winning state. In my opinion there are not clear cut favorites.

Correct. He arrived at Lake Travis in spring of 2011. Was at Mabank and Garland before hand.

Oh ok. I still thought it sounded kinda "backhanded" remark. Anyway....1st of atleast 2 losses by 50 to Lobos

                Yep, exactly right.

Temple has to be considered the favorite atm, but then again...their district is ridiculously easy (perhaps as bad as ours).

                • I may forgo the Horn vs Berkner game this week to see West Mesquite vs Poteet. I should be a much better game.

                  • We (Lobos) came out as a young team with a few of our best starters out. We played 2 of the top 10 teams in Texas and 1 in Louisiana from jump. As most of you said we expected to be 0-3. Had we started out with the Pine Trees, Royse citys and Plano Easts we could possibly sitting at 4-0. No Coach King hasn't been holding back. He is still teaching this youth of a team how to play. Won't happen overnight. We are getting better weekly. And our first bidistrict opponent will see a different team than the 1-2 predistrict team. District will be good for us to learn skill positions and it won't be easy. Come playoffs we will be ready. As I said before 5A is wide open.

Another sweep by the Lady Lobos tonight. This time over Mount Pleasant.

Weak district but showed me enough in non district play for me to be impressed by em. Beat a now 4-1 Round Rock team and lost a heart breaker to Todd Dodge and Westlake. Having probably the best QB in the class doesn't hurt either. Would be shocked if they don't make it to Arlington...

Junior. He and Codeh Loyd have been battling it out for the CB spot opposite of Walker.....and at times this season we've seen Loyd and Dean on the field at the same time. Dean hasn't been a full time starter but he's been getting reps all season. Think he's established himself as a starter though. Around 5'11 170.
