Waller county is well under 500K population.

The district gives the Merrell Center as its address, which is in Fort Bend.

I googled and saw that.

My daughter graduated Katy a few years back and she told me that in one of the hallway's at the high school campus, there was a spot marked where all three counties came together.

I remember people saying the same thing when I was at Katy in the mid-2000s but I never saw it. There's a park across 90 that has a marker installed in the early 1900s that's supposed to mark the meeting point of all three counties.

so for a 64 team bracket not only does everyone make it there would be a LOT of 1st round byes. No clue how you'd figure out who actually would make the D1 side unless the districts were pre-split and then imagine the uproar on travel for the rural 6a schools as there would be maybe 8 districts....

This scheme would be OK with me since Rockwall and Rockwall Heath would probably alternate state championships most seasons although I think this scheme is stupid.Just because schools are located in a very small county area wise does not preclude large schools.
