he doesn’t need outside help, samples can rely on internal talent

on a side note, I heard DV turned down Miami central in ‘23. They’re going with another Fla school not on the lvl of the one last year. That’s too bad

Duncanville always starts slow, even with JJ. So I don't think its necessarily a bad idea to start out with a more inferior opponent. Especially since the district will be greatly improved next year from top to bottom.

Agree, the district will be stout, maybe samples is tiring of OOS games?

Miami Central would have been a good matchup or Duncanville. Why would they play a team of less talent than the Orlando Jones when this team is going to be better (supposedly) than the one from last year? Any idea of who it may be?

It's Duncanville/Desoto and who else? Waxahachie graduated a lot of kids didn't they? I heard they may be regressing some

Waxahachie, Chill can only go up. there’s talent in the pipeline. They’ll still be one of the better districts in the state.

Cedar Hill has a stellar 8th grade group. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them have a very young group out there by the end of the year. Hachie and CH have both won district recently in subvarsity if I’m not mistaken so there’s some talent there. Skyline will begin taking a turn too IMO.

I said the same. Things are different though come spring. You miss an assignment and Durham is going for 80 back to back plays and ya got Samp in your ear lol. He’s gonna have to earn it.

When it comes to good schools I don’t put a lot of value in winning district with sub varsity teams because the best players are probably already on varsity.

For now, when Coach Samps retires they will go back to chill, Desoto or Oak Cliff.
