  • David Amador

Can somebody please tell me why this kid is not a 4- or 5-star recruit? Not that it matters because what happens on the field does all the talking. In a game with a bunch of so called 4- and 5-star players David Amador was the best player on the field.

Congratulations to #8 for one heck of a performance vs my Duncanville Panthers. Give me this “3-star” kid ever day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Two great teams in a series for the ages with more to come.

Will he be a receiver in college? I see him as a tremendous athlete but not necessarily a great college QB. He may prove us wrong. But right now I am thinking receiver and special teams is where he will excel.

He only played QB out of necessity. I’m assuming he’ll play WR.

Definitely playing receiver in college. Like DuckUnder said he play quarterback out of necessity, had never played the position before.

My take on why he's a 3⭐is probably due to his race and the way they view hispanics at the next level.

Definitely receiver. If he lines up at quarterback it be as a wildcat quarterback. As to why he's not a four or five star recruit. My guess he didn't go to any camps or didn't go to the right ones.

I’m positive he will be a WR in college and I’m astounded why he isn’t the talk of the state. We had a tremendous defense and you can argue that Colin Simmons was the best player on the field but my vote goes to Amador. Absolutely love this kid’s game. Broke our back last year with that huge over the head catch for six and came inches away from breaking our backs this year single-handedly.

D Davis and C Bailey are two great players that have beaten us. They had better supporting casts behind them. I feel like Amador had a great amount of supporting talent but not to that level. And for a kid to line up for the first time at QB and for the whole damn house to know he is the whole offense and then to make these plays is just special. Coach Traylor got himself one hell of a player and I think we know who is the 6A Texas Player of the Year bar none.

Been watching this game since I was 6 years old and this effort and season by this kid is right there with the best I’ve ever seen.

6ft 175 the same as Johntay Cook from Desoto who is a 5⭐. I'm sure Cook has more speed than DA (albeit not as much as one may think) but DA may be the better overall football player.

To be a 5 star you really have to have good speed and size. Many guys claim to be 5 stars but more than likely they are 4 stars. I never put alot of faith in the star ratings because I have seen guys rise and fall during non-football seasons. I would have thought UofH would be all over him but UTSA is a rising program and Amador will do just fine. Ballers always rise to the top.

Like LT in 2017, NS lost two positions when Bailey went down, starting QB and starting WR. Amador STILL almost pulled it off. I too am very impressed with him and hope to see him on Sundays.

Definitely because of his size, and I'd imagine his speed is good but not elite. I say that with no shade intended, just what I've heard from what P5 coaches want. He's no doubt a Power 5 wide receiver in my opinion. Kid is a certified baller.

Amador will do great at UTSA. Coach Traylor is a great coach and has built UTSA into one of the best G5 programs in the country.

As an example, this guy who is an ATH and won the Mississippi state championship as a QB, got an offer from Alabama on the spot at their camp because he was the best cover safety out of hundreds of guys.

He only has played QB in HS and only had offers from small local schools.

If he hadn’t gone to that camp he might be committed to Southern Miss instead of Alabama.

He's also 6'2 190 lbs for a high school kid which is great size for a safety at that age

that's George Teague size, being that talented, there is no telling what position he will play.
