If they are going to play at NRG they should make it a double header. Katy vs King and North Shore vs Atascocita would make a great HS football weekend. I wish the SLC/Guyer and Lewisville/Prosper was a double header at the Star.

Interesting about King that they have modeled their program after NS even going so far as hiring some coaches if I’m not mistaken. Win or lose, here they are on the R3 championship game. Katy will take this one but King has come a long way.

The crazy thing about King, Cita, and SC is that they are stacked in so many areas of the field, EXCEPT the one area where it really matters the most....namely, the QB.

We have had a now-NBA player play on the football team (temporarily), but I highly doubt anyone will remember… Carsen Edwards played football for Atascocita his freshman and sophomore year. He ended up foregoing his junior and senior years in football for basketball instead. He played for Purdue and went on to play a bit for the Celtics, but now he plays for the Detroit Pistons. He was easily the best football player on the field when he did play, sad he chose basketball but I guess it worked out. Considering the three other NFL players that came through Atascocita, Carsen Edwards was the best athlete and it wasn’t even close.Last edited by Cmb149; 11-27-2022, 11:29 PM.

It’s worked out I guess, but I’d like to see at least a lower level D1 quarterback come through at some point.

If the defense can make a few stops and be disciplined, and the offense can execute without shooting themselves in the foot, this will be a much closer game than most think it will be.
Oh and proof of the 55/45 ratio is below.
