Yeah Turey Stoudemire. Cousin of former NBA all star Amare Stoudemire. Jumped 7’0 in districts. Guess he had a bad day.

Can we invite Mater Dei or SJB to the meet?

      Just kidding.
Deep playoff runs are, in part, wars of attrition.

Goree has the fastest hs time in the nation but that MD running back cut back on him and seemed to float into the endzone on an 80 yard run lol. Football speed is no joke

                Centex_96,

Your 20’7 long jump is a good jump anyway you slice it and had you been in class A, Region 3 you would have qualified for state finishing second to a 21-00.00 jump. You would have also done very well in Region 2 AAA by winning the regional by 3 inches.
All in all there are a lot of great jumps in class A,AA,AAA, etc… with a 24-05.00 in AAA and 4 23 plus jumps scattered about.. Good athletes all over these schools. days…👍

KF is going to take that race and I'm going to go out on a limb and say they win the 4x100 relay as well

I saw KF ran a sub 1:24 in the 4x2. The Woodlands still holds the all-time national record at 1:23.25, from 2018. That same year they were one of five high school teams to ever run a sub 39.99 in the 4x1, holding one of the 5 fastest times in HS track history.

Hope they all run National best times. The winners will be the one’s with the best handoffs and calm under pressure.
The Japanese 4x1 teams are always good but not gifted with killer speed but just look at the handoffs…Whooo!!!

It would only make sense that a national track relay record that was held by a school from DFW was broken from a team in the GHA, would then be broken by another team from the GHA.

That 4x1 for The Woodlands that ran a top 5 all time 39.98 didn't even win state, because Katy Seven Lakes ran the 2nd fastest time of all time at 39.80 that same race at state. Katy SL tied the 2nd fastest 4x1 time ever which was just held by Port Arthur Memorial the year prior.

Texas, and (bias held) Houston area speed and athletics is just different.

39.98 by Duncanville to take Number 1. With better handoffs that record was gone.

Katy Mayde Creek ran a 40.84 and what place did they get? 6th.

There might be some athletes here in Texas.
