  • Summer Creek and Marshall are Region 3 Track Champs.

Congrats to Region lll 6A/5A Track Champions… Summer Creek and Marshall.

With a great chance of both winning state this year I’m very proud of both teams.
Summer Creek is loaded and won region by about 100 points and Marshall flat out stoked the show in 5A.
Both teams are gonna be 1-3 in state but I think they can both do it..

    Good Luck Men!

Summer Creek has some really good track athletes over there. I'm not sure who the track Coach is but he's doing a phenomenal job.

I wonder how many of them are playing football as well? I saw them at the district meet and they all looked like they were just purely track kids.

Will be a fun weekend. I think the Panthers will break 40 on that 4x1.

You think Summer Creek might have some athletes?

Here's what they have going into the state meet:

        100m Dash- Myles Thomas: 10.49
400m Dash- Darius Rainey: 47.07, Malcolm Washington: 47.79
        800m Run- Darius Rainey: 1:51.57
        110H- Donovan Bradley- 13.55
        300H- Donovan Bradley- 37.48
        4x100- 40.63
        4x400- 3:09.92
        LJ- Aaron Davis- 25-05.25
        SP- Justin Craft- 58-3.25

Just looking at what Region 3 has in 5A/6A is unreal. If we were looking at just the Long Jump by itself, my PR in High School (20'7) would have gotten me 27th place.

          Yea… I hope it’s like a 39.55 or lower but still it’s great to this point…✅✅✅✅✅

Yea your right about the coaching as it’s great. They have an 800 meter runner at 1:51 and that may be the state champion coming up. Not to mention a well rounded team.
NS and Dickinson are sending a few folks to state but these two teams are really solid for sure…✅

This team is one of the best if not THE best I’ve had the pleasure to watch. That 4X400 may contend for the NATIONAL record and the LJ could go 26 ft.?

Summer Creek must have gotten all of the NS track athletes because it seems we have fallen off the map compared to where we were just a few years ago. I saw the 4x400 relay team and I was impressed by it. I hope they bring home the gold at state

I doubt they get that low but I'm sure they will have a fast time. It won't be a cakewalk though there are a few teams out there that can compete with and beat the Panthers in the 4x100 if they don't run their best race

Yea it’s a great time already and hoping they go lower but this is the time when I’m about Texas and usually put aside the regional rivalries and just wish the best to the best performers…☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

Summer Creek is the heavy favorite, if they dont perform Duncanville has an outside shot. No one else will be close. 3rd 4th and 5th is up in the air, Probably Judson, Shadow Creek, Klein Forest, possibly Wylie. Vandy has three top quals but that's all (hoping we can eek out a few lone star cup points by sneaking in the top 5). Our discus guy missed shotput because he was 4th at regionals, even though he'd be like the 5 or 6 seed at state and it wasnt one of his better throws, so that hurts a bit.

I think Duncanville sweeps the 100 4x1 and 4x2. Summer Creek will just place high in just about every race though lol

Watch out of Klein Forest, Clear Lake and Atascocita in the 4x200

You guys also have top HJ qual and Texas 1 from TW apparently didnt make state. Dville has a shot for sure, SC just has so many guys that project really well.

Klein Forest has the number 1 time in nation in 4x2, while Duncanville has number 3. That race will be fun.
