We had a guy that could match up with Carreon last year (Woody). I'm not sure we do this year.

Most definitely do not. I was surprised, even thought it was 7on7 never seen a mojo team with no much athleticism to it.

Last year we weren’t anywhere close to having a guy that could deal with Ivan. But somehow by the grace of Jesus Christ himself almighty we were able to edge out Odessa.

Because like pretty much every team in the district, none of us know what defence is, lol. The thing that hurt OHS last year was the reliance on Ivan. Everyone knew they were going to him, it was just a matter of if you could get to the QB or shadow him enough to where he wasn't a factor.

This year, they seem pretty loaded on O. Even outside of Ivan himself. Obviously he's going to be a big part of what they do, but they get one of their RB's back who was good back in 2021. Another returning RB who's good. The JV QB from last year, looks like he'll be the starter (Sota, I think it was, one of the OHS guys correct me if I'm wrong) and there is more experience at the skill position's this year, too.

Plus they have an experienced OL. I'd be surprised if they weren't making some noise this season.

We've been talking about it most of the off-season. From what we're hearing there isn't really much coming up. Obviously real football is a bit different to 7on7, as Permian's scheme isn't really built for 7on7.

Obviously you have no idea how bad centrals defense is. They should have scored on every possession. I think It was the QB play. I might have to rewatch that game but he was inconsistent and not very sharp throwing the ball and made some bad decisions. He seemed a little rattled at times but I don’t remember if it was because we were putting pressure on him. He was a strong runner though but their O line wasn’t the best either. But even then, I don’t understand how they didn’t run up the score on us. Opposing offenses could make 2 or 3 mistakes in a row and still had a favorable chance to convert on 3/4th down. Anyway I hope to gosh central will have an explosive offense this year. But they’re too inexperienced, not sure central will have the mental fortitude to win in a shootout.

You know…. It’s just plain unfair and unlucky that we keep getting paired with Abilene. Then there’s lake belton. 😑
