Yep. Like It. With Lancaster week 2 and Parish Episcopal week 4. Good competition and games for all. Will draw fans. To be the best play the best.

Tough non-district schedule for Cedar Hill. I think they should be better than they were in 2021. Well, the defense was still solid, but the offense was absolutely horrific. I think the offense should be better with another year for Cedric Harden (definitely a WR/DB at the college level, but hopefully he can improve for the Longhorn offense's sake).

I still don't see them finishing any better than 3rd place though, and if they slip up and Waxahachie/Mansfield keep improving (along with Dallas Skyline, who always has talent and needs a good coach), simply making the playoffs may be a challenge.

Defense will be solid and last year's QB is really a better WR and is tearing it up on his 7on7 travel team where he play's WR. He's attended no QB camps or taken any reps since the season ended. SMU offer him at WR along with a couple of other schools. Makes me wonder if he will be playing QB next season. The OL set the offense back last year and should be much improve since most of them where soph and juniors. A QB transfer in that will be a junior. Wait and see what direction they go in the Spring at that position.

And as is the norm, the friendly competitive smack talk has already begun, as players know and grew up with each other and anticipate and cannot wait to play against each other and display their talent. Both are gonna be good. Gotta love it!

Is a QB coming in for sure? They definitely need one, and the o line needs to greatly improved. They struggled against teams I never imagine they would (I went to the Homecoming game against Waxahachie and they barely squeaked that one out). Any team that was half decent in the trenches or better was going to be CH last year.

I wonder if Peavy will ride it out with the 2 big time freshman Duncanville has. He has a legitimate chance of winning the next 4 state titles.

They have transfers every year and one is a QB that has enroll for the spring. Don't know how long you follow this team, but 2020 team was senior loaded team and most of us knew last year's team was going to young on offense. But a team with a young and involving OL still manage to go three deep in the POs which most programs would consider a successful season. If you are CH fan, welcome aboard and feel free to contribute to the team board also. You had to have a reason to go a Homecoming game with the pregame and halftime activities. Lol

And struggling against Waxahachie is no shame..they were pretty good last year and are only getting better

I taught at the school last school year, and went to all but one game during the 20-21 season. I'm not there anymore, but I still follow them. I didn't think they'd make it three rounds deep this year, I figured maybe two and done. Even that first round game against Bryan was pretty hairy. I figured the 2021 team would take a major step back, which they did. I'd also imagine that the 2022 team should be better? But I'm not as familiar with what the offense looks like. I know the defense will always be stingy, although it will be tough to replace two P5 linemen and a P5 corner. Probably won't be enough to overtake Duncanville or Desoto. I think it should be enough to finish 3rd or at the very least make the playoffs. But that district seems to be getting better on the bottom end.

No it is not. They seem to have found the right coach to build a solid program around. Plus, they have one of the best fan bases in DFW.

Definitely. I can see him going along for the ride. That potential and dominance is crazy.
And the same can be said for Lady Eagles Coach Robinson pipeline. This year (TBD) graduates 7 D1s and already has incoming eighth graders(freshman) that have already been offered by D1 schools. Amazing what winning a championship will do for your program.

On another note. Lady Panthers beat Lady Longhorns and both finished tied for second behind Lady Eagles and were to decide today/determine seeding.

Peavy can't coach average joes...he'd be 0-25 at Midway or Mansfield...but he can recruit tail that has 6'-5" star attached to it...
