I saw the switch to zone temporarily and then back to man. Two reasons (I think) for this: 1.) Your guys needed the experience in man-to-man coverage against solid receivers moving forward with Lake Travis and beyond. 2.) Brown was/is inaccurate with the deep ball so the risk was minimized. He didn’t really give much of a reason to respect the deep ball because he couldn’t put it in the receivers hands. However, if Atascocita had Bert Emmanuel Jr… Maybe there’d be a reason to respect his arm and to zone-out.

All we play is man to man coverage so that's what I'm not understanding. Atascocita probably has the best recieving core we're going to face all year including LT and SLC.

I'm not sure how much of BE Jr you've watched but I'd be less concerned with his throwing and more worried about him running the ball

I’ve watched two games of him. But the game that Atascocita played against him, he was a machine when throwing. He was putting the ball right in his receivers hands. Man, if Atascocita had someone like that, they could really do some damage on offense. I didn’t see too much running from him but that makes him an even better recruit. Sessions was on track to put up some serious numbers on offense but what a saddening injury for the man. Overall, great season by Atascocita granted the circumstances. And on the other side, North Shore should be able to win the title this year.

The curtain had been pulled in the land of North Oz…I don’t believe the Mustangs can use their reputation from the past much longer with the tepid results as proof.
I see the Eagles settle down and face a team that is not as hungry as the last two were!👍
                Clearly not hungry at all!

Avoiding turnovers and stupid penalties make more of an edge than a so called better offense or defense.
All in all the Eagles have been able to manage the adversity while NS has not actually faced much. Springs in the game at halftime???
The best team will win in the Eagles and that’s what it really really looks like…. Just imagine if they only hit on 80 percent of all cylinders…. Lights out for NS.

                  🤡🤡🤡
yep, NS has faced NO adversity this season at all

                  • I left after the 3rd quarter. The NS defense just made that game 'unwatchable'. One can only handle so much carnage.

                    • NS is quietly taking care of business. They’re going to be a problem for whomever they face from here on out.

It would have been the same thing with Sessions back there. He probably would have made a play or two more but he's not that significant of a game changer to tip the scale when the DLine is getting killed
Outside of the Deer Park game, the offense hadn’t clicked since Sessions went down. Experience plays a huge part. Zion looked lost at times. Sessions spent all off-season preparing for the big moments. Zion will be better for it next year but an opportunity was missed this year. Sessions would’ve hit the hot reads sooner and given freedom to make on field adjustments

I agree! Sessions would have given you a better chance and perhaps a win.

What happen to Zion? Even in the first matchup against NS he didn’t look this bad.

He didn't see this much pressure the first game. It was kinda like we dialed it back some in the district finale but we threw the kitchen sink at him yesterday

Agreed, the offense was scaled back a lot to accommodate Brown. Where Sessions steered the ship Brown kept it afloat

Big stage and a lot on the line. He’s a hardworking resilient kid who will come back stronger next year. NS DL dominated pretty much the story of this one. I’ve complained about the passing game being too simple but the running game needs more creativity.
