Highland park, aledo, lake travis. They ran the table in 5a and made it look easy doing it. None of these three had a true rival throughout their runs. Were they all 6as playing a level down?

The level of parity in 5A is not that good. It’s the least competitive class we have in TX IMO.

So it’s similar to 6a division 2 over the past 19 years, easy to dominate because of lack of competition.

Because when they enter 6A the teams that compete well with them and rarely beat them, usually have 50%-150% higher enrollment in their schools and a much deeper talent pool.
“I think we’re in a great spot,” Carter said. “We’ve got to get bigger and stronger still. That’s always been the deal for us when we’ve fallen short. We couldn’t stop the run, and we couldn’t hold up with our offensive front. The work we do this summer is going to be very important.”

Aledo and Highland park will dominate 6a in the next realignment?

They will compete but when the reigning champs are twice their size, they are at an unfair disadvantage.

Why did South Lake Carroll not do anything in 4a (5a) but come in and dominate everybody when they moved up? (Mostly division 2)

Do you think 3x state champion and national power Euless Trinity would be a dominating powerhouse if they were to play in division 2?

They had an incredible SOS (mostly against division 2 schools and currently 5a schools, like Lufkin) and played “the toughest playoff schedule in history” in 2005 ending against division 2 power Katy.

Huh? They dominated 3A under Ledbetter. Who are you ? Did someone steal your login?
