  • Way too early USAToday top 25

TX is well represented with #1 NS, #6 DV, #19 Aledo, #23 SLC and LT (bubble team) making the cut.

What does Allen and Katy have on paper to warrant national top 25 ranking?

On paper? Ummmm, always making it to the playoffs, Allen has a ton of great talent returning this season. Also, did you notice how many of the teams they have in the top 25 lost 2 to 3 games last season?

It's ok.....Allen usually has some of their best seasons when they're off the radar.

But that’s not reason for them to be preseason top 25 nationally.. Allen lost a lot with this SR class. No team should be given accolades just on name

IMO the only TX teams that should be in there are DV and NS.

Considering all the talk about how dominate Longview was last season and that they could have beaten anyone except North Shore and Duncanville I'm surprised that non of the Longview faithful aren't in here screaming underrated right now (maybe it's too early)

Since 2012, when was Allen off the radar?

They rank these based on individual talent on players mostly and also how they did in their prospect state play-offs regardless of how weak that state may be compared to Texas HS.

These are not true Team/Program rankings

So with that in mind, take it with a grain of salt, so to speak

Well of course, these are just discussion starters. No one is positioning these rankings are gospel.

That's why it's called wayyyyy to early rankings. I'm sure there will be some shake up closer to the start of the season.
