If you could try to sum up the first half between Cy Woods and Cy Ranch in one sentence, you can say this. Cy Ranch converted on their 3rd and 4th downs and Cy Woods didn't. This happened often in the 1st half and Cy Ranch had a 28-6 lead in the first half.

The Mustangs were not stopped in the first half thanks to the effective passing of Collin Rock and the solid running of E.J. Thompson and Dylan Proske. In at least two of their scoring drives, Ranch went for it on 4th down and converted every single one. When the Mustangs faced third down on their own side, they converted to keep the drive alive.

Ranch scored three times from short distance in the first half. Cy Ranch got the ball to start the game and went down the field very quickly. Collin Rock snuck in and barreled in the end zone for his first score. Dylan Proske followed suit with his two pair of TDs. In Proske's first TD he followed the massive line as they pushed past the goal line and he crossed the line for the score. On TD number 2, Proske was held up at the line at first. So, he went around the pile and dove in for his second score. Each TD was from 2 yds. At this time it was 21-6.

Cy Woods wasn't getting stuffed on offense by Ranch at all. In their first two drives, Cy Woods was moving effectively against Ranch. The first drive went well into Ranch territory but gained no points. In the second drive, Woods scored on a R.J. Harmon 37 yd run. It was 14-6 for Ranch when the snap was bobbled by the holder on the xp. Still, Woods looked like it could move the ball on Ranch. Cy Woods had 445 yds total offense in the game.

The Wildcats were moving the ball with a good passing game. Where things would go wrong is in short yd situations. Two times Cy Woods needed to convert a short 4th down and they didn't get it. In the second quarter Cy Woods could not convert on 2nd and short. Juan Perez was able to stuff the run. On 3rd and short, Woods QB Bryson Powers was sacked by Lawson Pyles.

That stop was crushing for Woods. When the Wildcats punt the ball, Cy Ranch's RJ Sneed ran it back 66 yards for the score. Xp good and it was 28-6.

The Woods defense was simply having too much trouble stopping the offensive attack of Ranch. Cy Ranch has weapons on offense and the massive and athletic offensive line would make it tough on many teams. Woods didn't give up though and started moving the ball against Ranch to start the 3rd quarter. A good pass from Powers to RJ Harmon over the top scores and it was 28-13 for Ranch.

The Mustangs were still moving it well on offense and kept moving the chains and chewing the clock. The Mustangs were about to seal the game with a crushing TD. Collin Rock found an open receiver to the left in the end zone and a pass was thrown square to his chest but it was dropped. Woods got the stop they needed.

Woods offense was moving well again and the Wildcats's fans were sensing a fierce comeback in the works. Powers found Jared Taylor in the back of the end zone to make it 28-19 with 10 minutes left in the 4th.

The Wildcats were going wild and Cy Woods were going for two. The Wildcats were in shotgun formation and Powers was scrambling to the right but cut back to the left and he was met by plenty of Ranch defenders. The ball popped loose and Brayden Stringer got the loose ball and ran it all the way for 2 points.

30-19. The flag runners from both teams were running on the field at the same time. Never seen that before. Seen the 2 pt run back a few times but never seen the flag runners run at the same time.

Ranch got the kickoff and got it inside Woods territory and EJ Thompson scored from 12 yards out to make it 37-19. The score only took just over a minute after Woods scored.

Cy Woods could not move the ball much anymore. Terrence Shaw capped off the Ranch scoring with a 71 yd TD run.

Cy Woods scored on a 32 yd TD pass to cap the scoring of the game.
